SLING CONTRUCTION & SLING MATERIALS
Traditionally shooting slings has been made of leather. Even very good quality leather stretches over time. especially in high humidity. For this reason synthetic materials are being used in modern slings.
The cuff (the upper part around the shooters upper arm) must be of nonslip material. Nowadays all good slings are assembled with screws, not rivets. This advantage means that the shooter can adjust the proportions of the different parts of the sling, especially important for shooters with short arms as most slings are quit long when new.
