A new simplified trigger designed and made by Peter Fortner especially for the 1827 Biathlon Rifle.

Unlike the factory Anschutz trigger, these are uncomplicated for the athlete or coach to adjust, only the trigger weight and the trigger stop can be adjusted. That’s it. Pure and simple, its purpose designed for biathlon.

Provides enhanced trigger control and rifle accuracy while maintaining the robustness and reliability of the standard factory two-stage trigger, all with simplified adjustments for the Athlete or Coach.

The Fortner trigger has an adjustment range of approx. 450 to 650 grams, and comes pre-set at 550 grams to comply with IBU Regulations. Fortner has increased the first stage weight by approximately
50% of where the trigger breaks by using stronger springs.  Compare this to the Anschutz factory trigger
which is 10-20%. The result is better trigger control for the athlete.

The end result … simplified adjustment, no possibility of turning the wrong adjustment screw and a trigger with a smooth, light first stage take-up and a crisp, candy cane snap-like second stage break.

Perfection!

Of course, the trigger blade can be adjusted both front to rear and can tilt if desired.
Designed to easily adjust while the barreled action is in the stock.

Supplied with the trigger assembly is the Fortner Trigger blade with point, but if you prefer you can install your old trigger blade on it as the original Anschutz blades will fit.

Ships with new bolts to attach to your barreled action.

These will fit all versions of the 1827 including the old bolt rifles, all the way up to the current production models.
